Students may also participate in a wide variety of collaborative programs at the University of Toronto.
Collaborative Programs
Students who are admitted to a collaborative program must complete both the home department and the collaborative program requirements. The home department approval is required prior to being admitted to a Collaborative Program.
If an applicant wishes to be considered for a collaborative program they
should indicate the name of the program on the application form. The
choice is limited to the collaborative programs in which the Graduate
Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences participates.
Upon successful completion of the requirements, the student receives, in
addition to the MSc or PhD degree, the notation "Completed
Collaborative Program in name of program" on the transcript.
Industrial Internship Program
An Industrial Internship Program for Graduate Students has been established to allow interested graduate students to spend 3 to 4 months prior to their graduating year at a pharmaceutical or biotech company to gain first hand experience in an industrial R&D setting. During the internship, the student interns will be paid a monthly stipend by the company (equivalent or better than their Faculty stipend).
