Innovations in Pharmaceutical Sciences Seminar Series
LDFP Room 850 and virtually via Zoom
Dr. Jen-Chywan Wang received his Ph.D. at Vanderbilt University with Dr. Daryl Granner, where he studied the transcriptional regulation of phosphoenolpyruvate carboxykinase gene by glucocorticoid receptor in the liver. He did his post-doctoral training with Dr. Keith Yamamoto at University of California San Francisco, where he explored the approach to identify glucocorticoid receptor primary target genes and the mechanisms governing the regulation of glucocorticoid receptor activity by ligands. Dr. Wang joined the Department of Nutritional Sciences & Toxicology at University of California Berkeley in 2006 as a tenure-track faculty. He is now a Full Professor in the Department; his lab explores the mechanisms underlying the metabolic and anti-inflammatory actions of glucocorticoid receptor.
