Employing Gene Expression Control Systems: Intracellular and Extracellular Uses

Jeong Wook Lee is an associate professor at the Pohang University of Science and Technology (POSTECH). He earned his B.S. (2004) and Ph.D. (2009) in chemical and biomolecular engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST). After obtaining his Ph.D., Jeong Wook Lee conducted postdoctoral research at Boston University, MIT, and Harvard University from 2012 to 2017, focusing on synthetic circuit construction and cell-free systems. His research primarily involves the development of genetic circuits for regulating gene expression in both cell-based and cell-free systems, with applications spanning metabolic engineering, genetic biocontainment, and molecular diagnostics.
