Possibilities and Challenges of Small Molecule Organic Compounds for the Treatment of Repeat Diseases

Kazuhiko Nakatani (Professor, SANKEN, Osaka University): 1982 B.Sc. and 1984 M.Sc., Osaka City Univ. 1985-88 Associate Research Scientist, Columbia Univ. 1988 Ph.D., Osaka City Univ. 1993 Research Associate and 1997 Associate Professor, Kyoto University. 2005- Professor, Osaka University. He served as the Director of SANKEN from August 2015 to March 2018. From August 2019 to March 2023, he served as the Executive Vice President for Finance and Facilities at Osaka University. His research mainly focused on the discovery and development of small molecules targeting DNA and RNA.
