Billy is a seasoned pharmacist who is focused on the latest advances in patient-centred healthcare, interactive digital solutions and medication management, he is a senior leader for the more than 500 Pharmasave drugstores across Ontario and the Atlantic provinces.

For over 25 years, Billy has been extensively involved with pharmacy associations and organizations. He is a former Chair of the Ontario Pharmacists Association, a former Chair of the Ontario College of Pharmacists, and currently remains as an elected Board Director with the OCP.

Outside of his pharmacy life, Billy spends time with his family, runs marathons, and cycles to faraway places for charitable causes.

Tarek Hussein, BScPhm, MBA, RPh, C.Mgr. has more than 25 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, demonstrating strong account management, building lasting relationships through performance and credibility while displaying an uncompromising focus on customer needs fulfillment. He regards integrity, reputation, and professionalism as critical components of his business philosophy.

Leading with a Corporate Social Responsibility vision, Tarek enabled Weller Pharmacy to become the first Pharmacy in Ontario designated as a sustainable business and a Living Wage Champion. Further, it’s one of the early small-medium enterprises (SMEs) in the region to sign the Inclusion Charter, a city of Kingston’s initiative to Promote Inclusion and Diversity in the Workplace.

In addition to his commitment to Weller Pharmacy, Tarek is a co-founder and Chief Clinical Officer at MedaKi, a Digital Health Startup focusing on independent community pharmacies. By creating cloud-based solutions tailor-made for pharmacies and releasing them to the communities they serve, MedaKi has helped to improve delivery of healthcare services in local communities.

Tarek also volunteers as the Director of Content Portfolio at the Canadian Association of Pharmacy for the Environment, CAPhE, and as the Chief Development Officer at the International Social Prescribing Pharmacy Association.

John Ly is Director of Pharmacy Innovation & Central Fill for Sobeys Capital Incorporated and has been with Sobeys since 2011. John is responsible for development and implementation of pharmacy innovation and central fill strategy. His career at Sobeys has included positions as Director of Pharmacy Operations and Pharmacy District Manager.

Aside from retail pharmacy, John’s professional experience has touched areas of long-term care and home care pharmacy. John currently serves on the Board of Directors for the Health Products Stewardship Association and participates in the governance committee. He is also a Caucus Member for the Neighborhood Pharmacy Association of Canada.

John holds a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree from the University of Toronto and is a registered Pharmacist in Ontario.

Kyrollos (Kyro) Maseh is the owner and full-time pharmacist at Lawlor Pharmacy, possessing a focus in psychopharmacology and a recognized advocate for public health. A former board director at the Ontario College of Pharmacists, Kyro helped shape policies that safeguard public health and uphold professional standards. His extensive work across OCP committees gave him valuable experience in regulatory matters, contributing to improved healthcare practices.

Beyond pharmacy, Kyro is a familiar media figure, regularly appearing on national television and radio to discuss health-related issues and advocate for better public health policies. His influence extends to direct-to-consumer advertising, where he features in commercials for pharmacy products, helping educate the public about safe, effective healthcare solutions.

As a passionate educator, Kyro precepts pharmacy students, earning awards like the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy EPE Preceptor of the Year (2021). His contributions have also been recognized by the Canadian Mental Health Association (Public Service Award, 2019) and CBC’s The National, where he was named one of the top 10 news stories in 2021.

Fluent in English, French, and Arabic, Kyro continues to drive initiatives in public health, mental health advocacy, and professional development, making him a transformative figure in the pharmacy industry.

Kristen Watt is the owner of Kristen’s Pharmacy in Southampton, Ontario, where she practices innovative Community Pharmacy by relocating the Pharmacist out of the dispensary and into an office to optimize patient care. A graduate of the University of Toronto, Kristen has amassed extensive experience in chain, big box, and independent Community Pharmacy, complemented by a tenure as a Long Term Care Clinical Consultant. Since 2017, she has operated her own independent Pharmacy with a commitment to enhancing the medication experience for patients.

Kristen is deeply involved in her community, focusing on improving health outcomes with a particular interest in pain management, palliative care, and logistical solutions for enhancing patient access in the current healthcare climate. She advocates passionately for Pharmacists to operate to their full clinical scope across all settings.

Kristen serves as the Vice Chair of the Ontario Pharmacists Association and holds the position of Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Waterloo School of Pharmacy.
