Speakers:

Andrew Bartlett, BPharm, is a Lecturer in Pharmacy Practice and a PhD Candidate at The University of Sydney Pharmacy School (SPS), Faculty of Medicine and Health. As a pharmacy owner with 30 years experience, he provides leadership in the areas of Pharmacy management within School curriculum. Andrew also serves as the Deputy Coordinator of the national NAPE Intern Training Program, shaping the professional paths of pre-registrant pharmacists across Australia. His PhD research focuses on preceptor competency assessment, and his broader research interests encompass technology in teaching and learning practices, including embedding AI tools into classroom teaching as a way to improve student engagement and understanding.

Dr. Jeff Nagge holds both a Bachelor of Pharmacy and a Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of Toronto.  He completed a pharmacy residency at the McMaster University Medical Centre and spent several years as a clinical practice leader at Toronto General Hospital. Jeff currently holds a position as a Clinical Associate Professor at the University of Waterloo's School of Pharmacy.  In addition to his academic role, he is actively involved in clinical practice, leading a referral-based hypertension clinic at the Centre for Family Medicine Family Health Team in Kitchener, Ontario. With a keen interest in cardiovascular therapeutics and anticoagulation, Jeff is also enthusiastic about incorporating technology into pharmacy education, recognizing its potential to enhance learning experiences. His efforts in using advanced technologies like generative AI to create realistic pharmacy simulations reflect his commitment to improving educational methods.
