Equity, Diversity and Inclusion
Seeley Hall, Trinity College, University of Toronto St. George Campus
The purpose of initiating a student-led forum is to foster a safe and community-led space where University of Toronto Asian members and Allies can connect, exchange ideas, and co-create solutions. It serves as a crucial platform for unity, cultural exchange, and social support among Asian students. This initiative aims to create a safe, open space where individuals from diverse Asian backgrounds can come together to celebrate unique heritages, share experiences, and build a sense of solidarity and community. Additionally, the forum provides an opportunity for students to address common challenges, break down stereotypes, and promote cross-cultural understanding. By initiating this forum, the UTASA not only aims to strengthen the bonds within the Asian student community but also contribute to the broader goal of cultivating a more inclusive and interconnected campus environment.
