Heather Kertland is a Clinical Pharmacy Specialist/Leader in the Heart, Vascular and Respiratory Program at St Michael’s Hospital, Unity Health Toronto. Her area of clinical expertise is cardiovascular diseases, in particular acute coronary syndromes and arrhythmias. 

She teaches in the Doctor of Pharmacy Program and the PharmD for Pharmacist programs and has been named Instructor of the Year three times.  

Heather holds an appointment in the Graduate Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences. Her area of research focus is patient safety, exploring the safe and effective use of medications in a hospitalized patient population.
