Naomi’s area of clinical expertise is in chronic pain and geriatrics. She practices with an interdisciplinary team in the Comprehensive Integrated Pain Program (CIPP) at the University Health Network. Her focus is on medication management, tapering opioid medications and the use of buprenorphine-naloxone therapy for patients with chronic pain.
Currently, Naomi teaches in the third year of the PharmD program – PHM305 – Medication Therapy Management 4, PHM352 – Pharmacotherapy in Older Adults, and PHM330 – Preparation for Advanced Pharmacy Practice Experience.
Naomi’s research focuses on exploring the crucial role of struggle in learning and understanding how it assists novices in acquiring the conceptual knowledge they need to learn in the future.
