At The Ottawa Hospital, our cohesive team of dedicated professionals, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, pharmacy assistants, and support staff, is dedicated to delivering compassionate treatment to both inpatients and ambulatory care patients. Pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and pharmacy assistants work seamlessly together to foster a collaborative environment that enhances efficiency and patient care. Pharmacists play an integral part of the team, from our collaboration with education institutions to train pharmacy students, residents, technicians, and assistants to participating in our continuing education program to further improve their own skills. Our pharmacists provide clinical services across various medical, surgical, and critical care areas, and are actively engaged in selected outpatient areas such as Thrombosis, Immunodeficiency, Bone Marrow Transplant, Oncology, and Nephrology.
- Baccalaureate of Science in Pharmacy from a recognized university OR an equivalent combination of training and experience as determined by the Ontario College of Pharmacists;
- Registration as a Pharmacist in Ontario;
- Working knowledge of modern hospital care and drug therapy;
- In-depth understanding of use, composition and clinical effects of drugs;
- Ability to supervise/lead/coach/mentor;
- Experience working with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications;
- Superior written and verbal communication skills;
- Excellent teaching skills;
- Good interpersonal skills;
- Eligible to work in Canada.
