The Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto climbed 11 spots to rank 4th in the world for pharmacy and pharmacology.
More than 1,200 institutions were ranked across 48 subjects this year. To compile this year's results, QS analyzed over 22 million papers, which produced close to 200 million citations.
“This is an impressive climb and one all our students, faculty, staff and alumni can be proud of,” said Interim Dean Christine Allen.
The QS World University Rankings by Subject are based upon academic reputation, employer reputation, and research impact.
Overall, U of T continues to be the highest ranked Canadian university and one of the top ranked public universities in the five most closely watched international rankings: Times Higher Education, QS World University Rankings, Shanghai Ranking Consultancy, U.S. News & World Report’s Best Global Universities and National Taiwan University World University Rankings.
QS World University Rankings annually publish global overall rankings as well as 48 subject rankings. The QS Rankings, along with the Academic Ranking of World Universities and the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, are considered the three most widely read university rankings in the world.
