On behalf of the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, I offer a warm welcome to all of our students, trainees, and learners as we begin this new academic year. I hope you are all as eager as I am to begin this new academic year.
As many of you know, at the end of the last academic year we thanked Heather Boon for her leadership as Dean from 2014-2018 and wished her well in her new role as Vice-Provost, Academic Life. We also received the exciting news that Professor Kishor Wasan, who currently serves as Dean and Professor of the College of Pharmacy and Nutrition at the University of Saskatchewan, will begin his five-year term as Dean of the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy on July 1, 2019.
To help maintain our forward momentum until Professor Wasan fully assumes his role as Dean, I am honored to fulfill the role of Interim Dean for the 2018-19 academic year and have been actively engaged in this capacity during the summer months. I know this will be an exhilarating, challenging and rewarding year for us all and I look forward to our journey together.
I look forward to seeing you on campus!
Christine
