Helen Palma received her PhD in Social Anthropology from the Federal University of Santa Catarina, Brazil in 2023. She is a professor and researcher at the Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia in Lima, where she is a member of the Health Policies, Systems and Services Research Unit. She is also a member of the Nucleus of Studies on Indigenous Knowledge and Health. She has several years of experience with the Awajún people, having carried out her doctoral research on historical-political perspectives on nutritional interventions in the province of Condorcanqui, in the Amazonas region of Peru..
Lucero Diaz Gomez holds a BA in Political Science and Government, and is currently a Master's student in Public Health and Global Health. She is a research assistant for a transnational project examining how social mobilization during the COVID-19 pandemic has influenced public policies, and is a member of the Health Policies, Systems and Services Research Unit of Cayetano Heredia University. She has prior work experience in monitoring the implementation of Peru’s intercultural policies based on a human rights-based approach.
