Dear Preceptors,

You will have received notification from the Faculty that all current experiential rotations (Block 9) are now on hold as of today (Monday, March 16th) for three weeks.  This suspension of rotations applies to all rotation types including those that allow the option to work remotely.  You should not expect students to report to your site or to continue to work on projects from home.  We recognize that this may cause challenges to your site however the decision was made in order to protect the safety of students, preceptors and patients.  This pause in rotations also provides an opportunity to monitor the ongoing situation, identify when the time is right for rotations to continue and where students may be able to contribute to the healthcare system’s work around COVID-19.

If not already completed, we would appreciate if you are able to take the time to submit your mid-point assessment of the student in CORE ELMS in order to ensure student progress to date is documented.

Please continue to follow messages sent from the Faculty for updates on the rapidly evolving situation.  In addition, do not hesitate to reach out with your questions and we will do our best to respond as promptly as possible.

Sincerely,
