Dear students,

The last month has not been easy for you. I expect for many, our new reality is just starting to set in. I understand that you are worried about a lot of things, your rotations, your research projects placed on hold, your student experience, your finances and your health. The changes caused by the pandemic have been incredibly hard for everyone to navigate.

I want to reassure you that you continue to be the key focus of our efforts. We are working with our partner health faculties and with others across the university to develop plans and strategies that will support you both academically and personally.

The Faculty and the University as a whole wants you to be successful and we are confident in our ability to help you be successful despite the circumstances we all face. We will continue to keep you updated as our plans progress. Thank you for your adaptability and perseverance during this time.  I hope you take time to recognize all you have managed this month, and if you need support, do not hesitate to reach out to faculty or staff.

One of the things that has given me comfort and inspiration to stay motivated on a daily basis is reading so many messages on various platforms from students, pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists that show incredible dedication to caring for others.  Whether that is in patient care settings, health or emergency care systems or giving back within local communities.  As a pharmacist and a researcher, I have never been more proud to be part of this community.

We are in this together and will continue to work and succeed together.

With deep gratitude,
