Dear Students:
Today the President of U of T announced that Spring Convocation Ceremonies will be cancelled. This is difficult and disappointing news for the University as a whole but particularly for students looking forward to celebrating well-earned accomplishments with family and friends. For faculty and staff Convocation is also a top highlight and proud moment as we see students move forward in their careers and ambitions.
We would like to emphasize that degrees will still be conferred even if not celebrated through in person Convocation and that the University is looking into other ways to celebrate students. We will also begin exploring alternatives for our graduating students and more information will follow in the weeks to come.
The University has updated the FAQ section on their main Coronavirus information page that you can refer to for additional information. Please feel free to get in touch if you have any additional questions.
Thank you,
Jamie Kellar,
