Pharmacotherapy Specialist – Antimicrobial Stewardship

Dr. Linda Dresser is currently a Pharmacotherapy Specialist – Antimicrobial Stewardship at the University Health Network, Toronto, and an Assistant Professor (Status) at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto.

Linda received her BScPhm from the University of Toronto and her Pharm D degree from Wayne State University in Detroit, followed by a Fellowship in Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy, Pharmacokinetics and Pharmacoeconomics in Buffalo.

Linda has coordinated the Advanced Pharmacotherapy – Infectious Diseases courses in the full-time and part-time Pharm D programs.  Linda is currently the Academic Lead for Infectious Diseases at the LDFP.

Linda’s research interests include PK/PD modeling of antimicrobials in animal models of pneumonia; PK of antimicrobials in various dialysis modalities; and also the perceptions and outcomes of antimicrobial stewardship programs in clinical practice.

Global health and volunteering with short-term medical teams has been a passion of Linda’s for over a decade with experience in Guyana and Ghana.
