Evidence-Based Supportive Care of Children with Cancer or Undergoing Hematopoietic Stem Cell Transplant

Dr. Dupuis is an Associate Professor at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Toronto.  Her research program focuses on the supportive care of children with cancer or undergoing haematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT).  It can be described as improving the efficacy of accepted drugs through dose individualization based on new knowledge about pharmacokinetics or pharmacogenetics; the rigorous development of clinical practice guidelines to facilitate the application of evidence to improve patient outcomes; and improving symptom control through investigation of new interventions using validated tools for patient-reported outcomes.

Research interests:

  • Control of chemotherapy-induced nausea and vomiting
  • Prevention of acute graft-versus-host-disease
  • Patient-reported outcomes
  • Clinical practice guideline development and implementation
