Other resources
In response to the COVID pandemic, there has been a rapid shift away from in-person interactions and toward virtual care. Providers need to weigh the benefits in terms of infection control against the risks of misdiagnosis and delays in care with worsening outcomes. This presentation will review the evidence on the use of virtual visits in primary care in a large pre-COVID pilot, explore the use of different communication channels with patients and outline a framework for decisions around in-person vs. virtual interactions.
