How to submit University Grades using the Applicant website

After submission of the application fee (section 5 of the application), you will have  access to the ‘Transcripts’ screen of the Applicant site in which you will enter all university level course codes, grades and weights, including any in-progress courses in the current year. These entries are required of all applicants who have post-secondary studies within Canada and the USA (including U of Toronto students).  Before you begin your entries, make sure you refer to the ‘Guidelines for Transcript Data entry’ which will be accessible, via a link at the top of the page, once you are in the ‘Transcripts’ screen.  The Guidelines document will also be available to view under the ‘News’ Items on the Applicant site.  Note: applicants who have undertaken post-secondary studies outside of Canada and the USA are not required to make these online Transcript entries.

Preliminary transcript data from past years, along with the data for the first term of the current year (if available), must be submitted by January 31, 2024. Final course and grade submissions must be submitted by May 27, 2024 (including the final grades for any in-progress courses in the current year).

This should not be confused with the information (related only to the required subjects), that is submitted in section 3 of the online application.  The information submitted in section 3 of the online application is used only to determine if you will be meeting the specific subject requirements, while the information submitted on the Transcripts screen, subsequent to submission of the application fee, will be used to calculate your cumulative university average if you have attended a post-secondary institution in Canada or the USA. The cumulative university average for eligible applicants who have undertaken post-secondary studies outside Canada and the USA will be calculated manually by the Admissions Office.

*Both the online submission of grades and the submission of official (hard copy) university transcripts (preliminary and final) as outlined in the Academic Records section of our website is required.  The only exception to this is for University of Toronto students who are required to make online submissions, but are not required to provide an official (hard copy) university transcript.

*The only exceptions, as explained above, are for University of Toronto students who are required to make the online Transcript entries (but not required to provide an official university transcript), and applicants who have undertaken studies outside Canada and the USA who are required to submit an official transcript (but not required to make the online Transcript entries).
