How to Submit your Academic Records

Applicants are responsible for submitting academic records after the online application is submitted. Academic records are comprised of several components including:

Official transcript for each post-secondary institution
  • Preliminary official post-secondary transcripts for each institution you have attended are due by January 31, 2024 for grades up to and including the previous academic year, as well as any grades from the first term of the current year (if available).
  • Final official post-secondary transcripts, including grades for all courses for the current year, are due by May 27, 2024.
  • Note: Applicants who are currently registered, or were previously registered, at the University of Toronto are not required to submit official transcripts from the University of Toronto – our office will automatically access these records electronically. You must include your University of Toronto student number in the appropriate field in the application.
Online Transcript Data

In addition to the official transcript(s), you must manually submit the full record of university course codes, course weights, and grades for all post-secondary institutions in Canada and the USA (this includes University of Toronto students), via the 'Transcripts' screen on the Applicant site. The 'Transcripts' screen will be accessible only after the application fee is submitted (i.e. this screen will be accessible after you complete section 5 of the online application). The grade entries on the Transcripts screen are used to calculate your cumulative university average. Your online entries will be checked against the official transcripts.

Preliminary transcript data from past years, along with the data for the first term of the current year (if available), must be submitted online by January 31, 2024.  Final course and grade submissions must be submitted by May 27, 2024.

This should not be confused with the information, related only to the required subjects, that is submitted in section 3 (Required Subjects) of the online application.  The information submitted in section 3 of the online application is related to and used only to determine if you will be meeting specific subject requirements, while the information submitted on via the 'Transcripts' screen subsequent to submission of section 5 (payment) of the online application, will be used to calculate your cumulative university average and will include all courses attempted. The cumulative university average for eligible applicants who have undertaken studies outside Canada and the USA will be calculated manually be the Admissions Office.

*Both the online submission of grades and the submission of official university transcripts (preliminary and final) as outlined above is required.

*The only exceptions, as explained above, are for University of Toronto students who are required to make online Transcript entries (but not required to provide an official university transcript). and applicants who have undertaken post-secondary studies outside Canada and the USA who are required to submit an official transcript (but not required to make the online Transcript entries).

Transcripts may be a traditional hard copy OR an electronic transcript.  To be official the transcript must be sent directly from the institution to our office regardless of the method (hard copy or electronic). Only transcripts received from a trusted administrative source will be accepted as official – student issued transcripts are not acceptable.

If your university issues electronic transcripts they must be directed to pharmd.applicant@utoronto.ca

If your university use 'MyCreds' to issue transcripts, you need to use the "Generate a link to my documents" option within your MyCreds credential wallet and must specify pharmd.applicant@utoronto.ca in the "Recipient Email" field on the "Document sharing" form.  This will result in an email, with a link allowing access to the transcript, to be sent directly to the PharmD Admissions Office.

If you do not indicate pharmd.applicant@utoronto.ca as the recipient Email and you select "University of Toronto" the transcript will be issued to the main University of Toronto's Admissions Office (Enrolment Services) and cannot be accessed by our PharmD Admissions Office.

If your university issues hard-copy transcripts they must be addressed to:
