Since 2007, the government of Ontario has leveraged community pharmacist expertise in medication management by introducing and remunerating community pharmacies for several professional pharmacy services, including communicating with prescribers regarding drug therapy-related problems.

Below, you will find interactive charts exploring longitudinal data related to Pharmaceutical Opinion Services, a program in which pharmacists communicate with prescribers regarding drug therapy-related problems.

Three main indicators were selected, and are represented in the interactive atlas tool as distinct tabs for each service:

  1. Trends: Trends in the number of monthly claims by region and outcome.
  2. Age & Sex: Crude counts and rates by age-group and sex.
  3. Maps: Choropleth maps representing regional summaries of standardized rates.
