Pilot projects and testing of practice innovations are essential to be able to diffuse research findings and appropriately scale projects that demonstrate pharmacists’ impact and value to the broader healthcare community. A key area of work at the CPE is focused on building a culture of practice innovation to inspire the profession of pharmacy – and pharmacists – to embrace change.
The Discovery Pharmacy (DRx) is the University of Toronto’s dedicated campus pharmacy, providing pharmacy and interdisciplinary health services to the U of T community. The DRx is a space to conduct research and test innovations that discover and implement quality care for patients. It’s also a place where pharmacy students are able to take part in direct and non-direct patient care experiential education learning opportunities.
