Centre for Practice Excellence

New Opportunities to Impact Healthcare

Founded on the principles of patient-focused care, the Centre for Practice Excellence at the Leslie Dan Faculty of Pharmacy aims to equip students and practitioners with the skills and confidence to improve the healthcare system by enhancing patient care and improving patient outcomes.

To maximize the potential of the pharmacist in the healthcare system, the Centre will focus on three principal areas:

By conducting cutting-edge research in pharmacy practice and medication use, the Centre will develop educational programs and practice innovations that will revolutionize patient care, particularly at the community level. Inspired research establishes understanding. Understanding creates new solutions and identifies best practices. Best practices and new solutions lead to enhanced training opportunities and educational programs. Ultimately, these complementary focus areas will work together to provide pharmacists with the ability to incorporate innovative practices and tools into their daily work, enhancing interactions with patients and improving their health outcomes.
